Team Matilda

I am alive today thanks to the efforts of organizations like the American Heart Association and those of the skilled medical professionals at the Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. To help continue this work and help others to succeed, Team Matilda takes part in a number of fundraising events throughout the year.

Since 2003, the activities of Team Matilda have raised almost $10,000!

Team Matilda ShirtTwin Cities Start! Heart Walk
Funds raised through the American Heart Walk support research, community service and public and professional education programs. Originally based at the Mall of America during American Heart Month in February, the Walk moved to outside and to April in 2007. The 2010 Walk will be at Target Field in Minneapolis.

HeartBeat 5000
HeartBeat 5000 is a chip timed 5K run/walk benefiting cardiac care at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. The event is a tribute to all children with heart defects that challenge their health and well-being. It celebrates the work of Children’s physicians, nurses, staff, and volunteers and also recognizes the quality of life provided by innovation and technology.
